The world has ended so...what's for dinner!

Hey everyone! Today's post is sharing another blog that a friend of mine writes. She is a fellow Zombie Squad member from ZS:20 - Chicago and she is doing something very smart and worth your time if you are a prepper! She is trying recipes using food from her disaster surplus to find out what makes a good meal in the post apocalypse world.

I think this is something that many people overlook during disaster preparation. Many people, myself included went out and bought a case of MRE's, some bags of Rice and beans, cans of fruit, tuna, and beef stew and a couple cases of bottled water and called it good after tossing them in a closet. Few people ever rotate their stock or actually try eating some of the items they are depending on to save them in the event of an emergency. I expect them to be thinking that if they get hungry enough, they'll eat anything. This is not only needless additional stress in an already stressful time but potentially dangerous and possibly lethal if you happen to have an undiscovered food allergy. Homework!?

I recently posted regarding a haunted apartment I used to live in. This post was requested by a good friend of mine named Jerry. I enjoyed the experience of a writing assignment a great deal so I posted a status update on Facebook requesting suggestions from my friends on stories or topics they would be interested in reading.

I got several responses. There were some suggestions that meant as jokes but I did get quite a few that I will be pursuing in one direction or another. I will acknowledge the person who put forth the idea in those posts like I did here with Jerry. I am excited to get working on these so I can get them out to you.
